Job Purpose / Objective
  • Provide overall operational management of the CBIZ Memphis business unit consistent with the strategic direction of leadership.
  • Conduct quantitative and/or qualitative research of information affecting financial and/or business processes.
  • Interpret findings, prepare reports and formulate recommendations.
  • This person reports to the Senior Director of Operations for the SE Region with an emphasis on enabling practitioner Managing Directors to focus on their primary purpose of delivering superior client service, growth and profitability, and mentoring staff.
  • Responsible for directing Memphis office services and administrative staff focusing on efficiency and quality of service.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Responsible for overall coordination of administrative services to internal and external clients for the CBIZ Memphis business unit.
  • Analyze and advise management on use and capacity of office space.
  • Enables the alignment of primary operational support functions such as IT, Finance, HR, Marketing and office operations across the business unit. Ensures optimization and coordination of priorities.
  • Negotiate purchase of office supplies, furniture, office equipment, etc., in accordance with corporate purchasing policies and budgetary restrictions.
  • Oversee operational functions of business unit ensuring supplies and equipment are available and functional.
  • Manage performance and service contracts of vendors.
  • Oversee the maintenance of office equipment.
  • Recommend new approaches to effect continual efficiency improvements.
  • Support the design of a more efficient administrative staff support system and staffing requirements.
  • Research, collect, manipulate, interpret, and analyze data.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding analysis and reports. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of managing sophisticated client service staff
  • Ability to develop and implement operating plans aligned with budget
  • Possess analytical skills
  • Ability to comprehend, manipulate and interpret statistical data

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; or High School Diploma (or GED) and 7 years experience in relevant field
  • Must have and preserve required licenses
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
  • Ability to travel as required by business
